About Easwari Thoreraj M.Sc. Soft. Eng.
Internet technology.... now, that’s my cup of tea! I have been working with many different aspects of the internet for the past fifteen years, from installing and administering networks and servers for internet service providers, developing web applications with custom frameworks and content management systems, all the way to designing trendy websites that are responsive and interactive.
I’ve also shared my expertise by writing and teaching online courses on subjects such as Php & MySQL, HTML & CSS, Dreamweaver, Expressions Web, Photoshop, Search Engine Optimization, Java, Javascript, Jquery etc..., mostly for Selkirk College. I have worked with more than 500 students for the twelve years that I taught with the college. I am now with British Columbia's Ministry of Health where I work as a Web Officer for Healthlinkbc.ca; a government service for providing non-emergency health advice and information.
Having a passion for both the hardware and software that runs the web, I can’t help but continue to be fascinated by all the different tools, technologies and regulations, emerging in this field at this time. When I am not programming or designing, my time is often spent experimenting with some new programming language or tinkering with some software module, making it do my bidding. What more can I say... the internet sure has made this journey most exciting and intellectually enriching!
